Paolo Maria Gangi, LL.M., is a business lawyer with over 20 years of experience advising clients on legal and business matters. Paolo is admitted to practice before the Italian Supreme Court. His areas of focus include NFTs, the Metaverse, DAOs, DeFi, and Web 3.0. Over the years, he has worked extensively on matters involving MiCA regulation, blockchain, crypto assets, and crypto-related hacking incidents. His practice primarily covers crypto and DeFi, intellectual property, technology law, privacy, and business and contract law. He also currently serves as Data Protection Officer (DPO) for companies operating in the IT and healthcare sectors. Paolo is a member of LexDAO, where he sits on the Operating Committee, as well as the Blockchain Lawyers Group and ECTA (the European Communities Trade Mark Association), where he is part of the AI and Data Committee. He regularly speaks at international crypto-related conferences and writes on topics concerning crypto law and privacy. He is also the author of a book on the law of NFTs, published by Giappichelli.
